Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment

Safeguarding underpins all recruitment activity undertaken by Whitecroft Education.

We operate a structured recruitment process aligned with current safer recruitment guidance to ensure schools receive fully vetted and compliant candidates.

Pre-Employment Checks

All candidates complete the following prior to introduction:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Barred list checks where applicable
  • Right to work verification
  • Identity confirmation
  • Professional reference checks
  • Qualification validation
  • Employment history review with clarification of gaps

No candidate is introduced without required safeguarding documentation in place.

Interview and Suitability Assessment

All candidates are individually interviewed before registration.

Assessment covers:

  • Professional conduct
  • Safeguarding awareness
  • Role suitability
  • Relevant experience

Compliance Documentation

Confirmation of compliance checks is provided prior to placement.

Records are maintained in accordance with audit and governance expectations.

Data Protection

Candidate information is stored and processed in line with UK data protection legislation and GDPR requirements.

Ongoing Safeguarding Responsibility

Whitecroft Education responds promptly to safeguarding queries, conduct concerns and compliance updates throughout the placement period.
